Thread: Can i use Wifi without starting my pc on BSNL broadband connection?

I want to use wifi on my nokia n79 from my bsnl wifi router.

Is it compulsory to turn on my pc to use wifi? or i can directly get connected to wifi by just switching on my modem/router?

Are there any settings for that?

Please help me I am in trouble for last 2 months.

search the forum for the configuration with your modem model number. u will get the solution.

If you router is configured in PPPoE mode that is always on then there is no need to switch on your computer and dial a connection. you just have to switch on the router and it will get connected to internet and you can connect you n79 to the wifi network.
