Default How to change downstream speed?

Line Rate - Upstream (Kbps): 512
    Line Rate - Downstream (Kbps):2048
    LAN IP Address: 192.168.1.1
    Default Gateway: 59.99.8.1
    Primary DNS Server: 208.67.222.222
    Secondary DNS Server: 208.67.220.220

I got the message from 192.168.1.1

    My problem.

I am in Bsnl and Changed the plan from 512 kb to 8 mb plan last month. But I could not access the full speed. only 2mb only availing to me. But I am paying for 8mb. It is very big loss to me.

I have DNA-A211-1 adsl2+ modem. how can set the modem to 8mb?

In 192.168.1.1 summary, it showing only 2048 kb as a maximum speed i can access.

    please help me.

Go to your router GUI web page then Advanced Setup-- DSL
Only cheak the ADSL2+ and uncheak the other
Then save the settings restart the router and cheak the Downstreem speed
If it's still shows to you 2048Kbps then you have to contact with DE Internal or SDE to change your Port speed.

Perfect Answer. Also make sure you plan is changed.
Also do a speedtest.net test to check your speed.

You can't do anything regard this issue, they will make change the down and upstream speed after two month, thats what happened in my case. Its the reason that why I am saying that BSNL is very worst in broadband. Your Phone bill cost will comes as per new plan but the speed will remain as per old. Customer care is totally useless in this problem.

    TRY an online complaint here.
    http://mis.bsnl.co.in/pgs/internet/pgwebregn.asp
Upload adsl page jpg in tinypic.com and give the link.

    Hello guys.
Today I argued with them for a long time and then they changed 'something' on their side.
Now I'm getting faster download speeds. (But still I think browsing speed hasnt improved.)

    1)
    2)

I thought I would get <512kbps download speed but I'm getting 600+kbps (Though its not constant.)
