    1. confirm you are connected to Internet with a single computer.
2.Confirm whether you are using a "Dialer"
or PPPoE ( your userId/PW entered in modem )
    3.In Computer
    Start click RUN
    Window appears at bottom left.
    type cmd
A new Black background window will show
    typeipconfig /all

COPY/PASTE the data here without editing.

    4. Which website you referred in link previously given by me ?

Now you are in Dialer mode.
For connecting different computers you have to change the connection to "ALwaysOn" PPPoE
Also in LAN page enable DHCP.
( userId and PW entered in modem/router)

    2. In all computers
    Start/ Network
    local Area connections LAN
    Properties
    Network settings
    Select tcp/ip
    Properties
    Check
    Obtain ip address automatically
    In DNS ( if preferred)
    add
    8.8.8.8 ( google dns)
    208.67.222.222 ( Open DNS)
    Apply SAVE
    Feedback.

    U r in Bridge mode.
U should be in PPPOE mode to have multiple computers surf net.

    1) open ur browser and go to 192.168.1.1

    2) type ur username and password.the default are username-admin and password-admin

    3) in the left pane select WAN.

    4) now click the first edit opition.there are many but click only the one which is first.

    5) Do not change anything except the needed ones.Just follow the instructions and just make sure u configure the settings to PPPOE.

now u can surf in all computers.

    @sjagnade

    Cisco DPQ2160 Cable modem+Siemen's wifi 1600router
If I connect directly from the modem(*cisco) it gets connected.
presume you have the user manual/Cd.
    (A)
    http://www.cisco.com/web/consumer/su...28103-new.pdf2
    (B)
you can use a HUB/or switch
    (C)
    (1)or use LAN1 ofSN1600( same as sl2-141?). connect LAN2 to computer.
    (2)
In Siemens router sl2_141 try "Bridged"
    (3)
    or "MER" connection.

    Para two:

    (D)
confirm you are trying to use additional laptop/cellphone etc.
    (E)
    See link wa3002_g4 below.
    Feedback item wise.
Try auto configure for most settings.

    Thanks Essbebe for your response.

I'm able to connect to internet if I connect the cable directly to my laptop from Cisco Modem.

Also I'm able to connect to Router through Wireless.

I want to configure my broadband connection on the router so that I can connect it directly from my laptop through wireless.

    Is it possbile with it?

    (A)
Download pdf file and see picture/diagram for using multiple systems.
Please reply item wise previous post.
    Example:
[ quote]presume you have the user manual/Cd.[/quote ] without space
presume you have the user manual/CD
    YES NO.
    (F)
Also I'm able to connect to Router through Wireless.
presume you are able to connect "YOUTelecom" in WIFI mode with step (C). confirm.

    (G)
Show setup.for CISCO modem and NS wifi 1600 router

    You telecom==>> cisco== rj45== computer ethernet port
Use dialer to connect to Internet.
    (H)
Nokia siemens network 1600 does not have a WAN/Internet Port/
to connect rj45 from another ADSL or CABLE modem directly.

    Here is the answers

    Cisco DPQ2160 Cable modem+Siemen's wifi 1600router
If I connect directly from the modem(*cisco) it gets connected.
presume you have the user manual/Cd. - NO
    (A)
    Done
    (B)
you can use a HUB/or switch
    - Will go for Wireless router for cable modem rather adding one more device.
    (C)
    (1)or use LAN1 ofSN1600( same as sl2-141?). connect LAN2 to computer.
    (2)
In Siemens router sl2_141 try "Bridged"
    (3)
    or "MER" connection.

Will try the same. Question: Is it possible to use one of LAN port as uplink for broadband?

    Para two:

    (D)
confirm you are trying to use additional laptop/cellphone etc. - Yes but with Wireless not wired.
    (E)
    See link wa3002_g4 below.

Try auto configure for most settings.

Was trying the same but instead of ethernet port would like to connect through Wireless.

    [C]

NO. You have to log in for ISP with the cable modem.
    ISP( cable)==RF cable==>> cable= modem==>> rj45==>computer.
    For wifi mode:
    Rj45 to LAN1 of NdS1600 and LAN2 to computer(desktop) ethernet port.
If working laptop etc in ~~~~~~ wifi mode. ( no cables )

    update.... wait.... busy......
    [I]
    If still problem
    Copy/Paste ipconfig /all
for ONLY LAN and WLAN mode
    or Post as Annexure *.doc
    Procedure :
    Start RUN type cmd
    OK
    type ipconfig /all

( Not needed tunnel data if seen )
