    Question Disconnection problem

Hi, I'm using netfox modem/router and my BSNL plan is H750 unlimited at 256 kbps. Sometimes I have a problem of disconnection. During that the ADSL LED in my modem keeps on blinking ( by the way I have 4 LED's on my modem, they are power, ADSL , LAN and USB ).

Earlier I thought this is due to problem with BSNL but now I tried connecting with my friend's modem in the event of disconnection and surprisingly I get connected to net. My netfox modem connects to net only after few hours or a day. Though this disconnection problem occurs only once in a week, it irritates me.

Is this due to my modem or BSNL or settings in router???

For further information check my earlier thread

Is this the situation when you first time switch on the modem or this is after it gets disconnected.

This situation is after the modem gets disconnected. Other times it is normal. I can connect within seconds when i first switch it on.

Here is the screen shot of modem status

Another thing i noticed is that, in router settings page there is a green circle next to modem when there is no problem. But during the problem it is red. Check the next screenshot

Your DS Line Attenuation is high get your lines checked.

The SNR should be higher than 20 though anything above 10 is just enough.
The Attenuation should be as low as possible. But if the attenuation starts going higher than 40 and SNR going down below 10, it is time to complain about the line condition to BSNL.
The green circle you mentioned is just an indication whether your modem is connected to internet or not. When its connected its green and when its not connected its red.
