    Default Cannot connect to internet

    am facing a strange issue from yesterday onwards. i cant connect to internet. all the websites i try stops at looking up. this is while using PPPOE. while using bridge mode i cant connect to internet and shows Error 651: The Modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error

    but i have passed all the diagnostics and my friend from the same area has no problem

    Test your ENET(1-4) Connection: PASS
    Test your USB Connection: DOWN

    Test the connection to your DSL service provider
    Test ADSL Synchronization: PASS
    Test ATM OAM F5 segment ping: PASS
    Test ATM OAM F5 end-to-end ping: PASS

    Test the connection to your Internet service provider
    Test PPP server connection: PASS
    Test authentication with ISP: PASS
    Test the assigned IP address: PASS
    Ping default gateway: PASS
    Ping primary Domain Name Server: PASS
    am using windows 7 64 bit. my modem is UTStarcom UT-300R2U. i didnt face any issue till day before yesterday. what should be the problem guys ???

    In PPPoE mode does your modem gets connected to internet.?

    Can you post your SNR Margin and Attenuation values over here from your modem status page.

    FiXeD!!!!

    tried resetting the modem and the error is gone!

    my friend just told me to do so! should have it before starting this thread!

    anyway i appreciate your help guys

    the same error is back... resetted the modem and didnt work! even tried replacing the modem! whats wrong with this stupid bsnl! any ideas?

    George101 the problem is in your computer not from your modem.
    Use the LAN connection from your modem not from the USB.
    If you are getting this error and you are using the LAN connection then update your LAN driver with proper Driver files. Do not use the windows default driver file Use the driver CD of your LAN card.

    Copy/Paste here.
    Start RUn type cmd Ok
    new window
    type ipconfig /all
    seems some Password trouble
    Try in both modes "Dialer and "Always On"
    Presume you are using the UT300r2U with
    Fw updated .

    Remove all the cables and then reconnect them.
    Even in the modem. I have faced this problem three time and by this the problem has been solved.

    If nothing happens then at last reset your modem and then reconfigure it.
