    Check the Wires

The leading-in cable (drop wire) from the junction box (DP box) to your house should be as straight as possible, should be of a single length without any joints. The wires should not be coiled anywhere and should be away from electrical lines. With these types of irregularities, i.e with joints or coiled or near power cables, your phone might work fine but the DSL link may not hold and work satisfactorily.

    Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR)

Check your line SNR. The SNR should be higher than 20 though anything above 10 is just enough. The Attenuation should be as low as possible. But if the attenuation starts going higher than 40 and SNR going down below 10, it is time to complain about the line condition to BSNL.

    1) My Leading-in wire is circled on the roof of my house and also down the modem.

    2) there is 1 joint in the middle i.e. where the leading-in wire ends, there is a box.

    3) With the phone cable Big tv Cable is also parallel and they touch each other..........

    4) there is the power supply to other devices like printer, speakers and others near the phone line......

Try moving you line away from SAT Cable, electrical wires, these things do interfere, and check for any changes in your SNR and Attenuation values., might your speed too improve. Ask your line man to relay a new cable without any joints.

Check out this thread how the SNR and Attenuation values got improved when it was moved away from an electrical item:

alright i restarted my modem and moved it away from my UPS

    Bandwidth Up/Down(Kbit/sec) 639/6143
    SNR Up/Down 18.5 dB/27.5 dB
    Attenuation Up/Down 3.5 dB /23.0 dB

he meat that there is a wire lump in his house that is coiled and kept near the modem.
    @IMROCK,
Perhaps you need to re joint the socalled joint he has on the wire. Then remove the parallel phone on the drect cable in. Shift it as parallel after the SPLITTER, by purchasing a dual soclket adopter that can directly sit on the splitter.
feeling bad against of speeds around 1500kbps is not justified , i feel.

i think bsnl is not giving speed to new customers..

    many new customers r complaining.
Bsnl is not good in service and i am not getting what i pay for!

so i see that bsnl will not give me speed.i will now be calm and wait for when we will shift to a new house.......there i will keep eye on everything including line, speed, etc.......i think this is the only way left.
