Default Low speeds with utorrent and better speeds with download manager.....???

Hi, I know what I'm going to say is odd, still take a look at this....
I'm sure many of you might be having the same confusion.....

I use both utorrent and download manage for my downloads. I have noted that even though I get speeds of around 200Kbps with download managers, the speeds with utorrent seems to be much lesser like 150-160 Kbps....
This happens even when I use private torents with best speeds....

I have heard that utorrent has begun capping speeds if the share ratio is low....
Does it have anything to do with speeds reduction with utorrent?
    Pls share your views too.....

Strange it may seem, but I tried out vuze today morning with a well seeded private tracker and got speeds upto 190Kbps......

So, is utorrent the problem guy??

I will check tomorrow morning for some extended time and post the details....

IDM shows the fake speed then the actual speed

If you want to get good download speed in torrent then sign up with good private traker

iLoveTorrents.com Where the Love of Torrents is Born
Bitsoup.org The Best site for your Torrent appetite
    TorrentBytes :: Login

torrentbytes is very good private traker with good pre time

It's true, but IDM won't show 250Kbps if your bandwidth is just, say 150 Kbps.....
Even if it showed exagerrated speeds as you suggested, the speed difference is also noticable in DownthemAll, Jdownloader as well.....

I have never felt false speeds in IDM.
For direct downloads it goes upto 236 for me bandwidth is 256.IDM hasnt gone over that. Also it may show fluctuations dont count that as ur max speed.Observe the maximum steady speed.I am getting 230+ for every direct download from good servers.
In the case of utorrent, it totally depends upon seeders and tracker
some hav speed caps so dont cap ur upload speed. In private trackers we can get 100+ for single torrent but I havnt got a max of 230

    utorrent is best.....

i heard the problem is that bsnl has shifted to a new server.the new customers r on the new server but the old customers r not shifted there.thats why new customers get bad speeds and old customers get bad speeds.
but i think this isn't true cause my cousin had home 500 connection after me and he gets 300KBps in utorrent!

If you get download speed in IDM 236KBps then the actual download speed is 210 to 215KBps.

Bt the IDM is a Very Good download manager.

Utorrent shows the correct actual speed in your line. If you have very good private traker then test your actual speed form it.

Customer's bandwidth dosenot depaind on which customer are on which server.

It's totally depaind the settings of the DSLAM and the BRAS

The speed of the Upto 2Mbps set in the BRAS 256KBps but if the DSLAM set the speed 150KBps then the user of this DSLAM port get the 150KBps but If the speed at the DSLAM set to 350KBps the the User get the 256KBps but not the 350KBps.

Neither do I think the server issue is the problem.....
If someone is getting 230KBps on IDM or any download manager, then he ought to get atleast say 200KBps in utorrent as well....
When that's is not happening, it's a problem....

Do you try with good private torrent
In a good private torrent you should get the 200KBps if it's your actual speed.

hitler517 if vuze do perfect job for you then use it.
and vuze dose not shows fake speed it's shows the actual speed.

ajai5777 do you sign up with the above mention private traker

If possible try to signup with torrentbytes
it's a very good private traker. torrentbytes some time open signup for the user within 48 hours. you have to cheak again and again.

Until last may, I used to get 220Kbps consistently for a single torrent with good seeders.... Now it has dropped to 180....
