    Default Routers known to have problem with Global Maximun Connections

    When using dg834g v5 with utorrent the ADSL connection started to drop frequently. When I googled about the problem I found a list of routers which perform bad when Global max connections are high. I had set it 700. But then I lowered it down to 500. Does anyone one know what is the default value for 'Global max connections' and 'maximum number of connected peers per torrent' on utorrent?

    Here is the link to the page where I found the solution Bad routers - AzureusWiki
    Here is the list of problematic routers:
    * D-Link DI-624
    * D-Link DSL-G664T
    * Linksys BEFSR41V4/BESR41
    * Linksys Wireless-b
    * Netgear DG632
    * Netgear DG834G
    * Netgear MR814
    * Netgear Rangemax 802.11n WPN824
    * Netgear WGT524
    * Netgear WGR614
    * SpeedStream 5660 in Router/NAPT configuration. Latest firmware is 2.(3).7. Alternate workarounds:
    o Switch to bridged mode. (For security, firewall your network.)
    o When it dies, just power-cycle the router and continue on.
    * W-Linx MB401-S (and SMC Barricade 7004 BR, which is identical in construction)
    * WRT54G/GL/GS
    If anyone wants a script to automatically reboot Netgear dg834g. It works with v5 too. you can find it here But little changes should be made.

    I think 400 Global max connections should be ok for utorrent when downloading, say 4 torrents at a time..... And limit Max number of connected peers to 150.....

    That should work fine.....

    If you have more doubts, this is a good tutorial for utorrent settings.....
