Are you confident of doing the Firmware upgrade?
Since this is applicable to same modem
    Beetel series, no hitch/problem expected.
I should not be blamed/ held responsible, if by any chance, the FW UPgrade failed, and your modem becomes useless.
One member tried the FW UPG, in spite of my caution and , with great difficulty he exchanged the modem with BSNL!!!

    2. Rather rent a modem from BSNL
or borrow from a friend ,and confirm connection improves.
You have not posted ipconfig /all

    Then try FW Upgrade.

Well i tried placing my Modem at my work place but I will have to change it from dialer mode to direct mode(Bridge to PPPoE) so I couldn't use it. I guess I will have to rent a modem from BSNL.

I will give ipconfig \all as soon as possible(by the way have put it in earlier post will it work if i copy the same).

As for the firmware I am gonna try it as a final step when am sure of buying a modem. Still had a query though in 192.168.1.1 it says that if you need to update we need to get firmware from ISP. so does the firmware depend on ISP's. If yes I will need for BSNL and have been using same for my earlier airtel connection and then BSNL too.

    Thanks

Incorrect. If you are in "Dialer Mode"
you can enter your UserID of Home at residence, and office ID in your workplace ( For Both ISP BSNL)

If you are such a busy man, that you cannot post latest conditions of your system , well you can repost it.
( Hope you have not changed DNS entries )

    3.
    Firmware Upgrade:
Is done in the modem/router and ISP
    does not matter.
Better ,be prepared to buy a new Modem !!

Actually it would have become a mess(in office) as I had to find out the password for the same and all the things. So, had to drop it. But none the less have checked the power adapter with the modem there it worked fine whole day

No I am not that busy its just that when at home the modem hardly connects and when it connects for a few mins I(rather the whole family)try to use it as much as possible.
