    Smile Upgraded bsnl servers !

    hi,
    In recent days i had observed that there are lot of confusion among people whether to reboot modem after 2 am or not,so here we can list out all the confirnmed places.
    mention in the comments all the confirnmed places where bsnl has upgraded there servers as this would be very helpful to new bsnl users. (ie no need to restart after 2:00 am).
    plz provide screenshot as a proof.

    I can confirm at gujarat.(i am in baroda)

    End of the month. All users can check the summary.
    Which State you belong, does not matter. The usage portal is centralised at
    Bengaluru ( Except Hyderabad users @bsnl.in for whom a new facility has been provided in selfcare page.
    ( also for 59.xx users not confirmed )

    Default BSNL upto tricks again

    You can never be too sure with BSNL. I again have become the target of their tricks. So I feel you should atleast disconnect and reconnect before starting downloads. Check the screenshot to understand what I am saying.

    I downloaded 70 MB after 2 am. But they charged me 110 MB for session.

    go and know:What Is My IP Address - Shows Your IP Address

    if it starts with 117.***.**.*** then ur service is activated i.e. no need to reboot modem at 2AM and 8AM.

    Even though BSNL may have upgraded the servers and counting free usage separately and accurately, it would still be prudent to restart modem at 2:05 AM and 7:55 AM. Better safe than sorry.

    As your usage page shows , you are an user with IP 117.xx.xx.xx. confirm.
    Please substitute your consumer number ( from telephone bill ) in this link instead of 12345678
    As it is you will get a blank XL file .
    and try. If yours is , 8 digit usually you get the xl file to download.
    9,10,12 digits : consumer numbers:
    reports needed working or not.

    Obviously you did not check the screenshot. I didn't restart at 2 and I was charged from 2.00 am till 2.06 am where I downloaded 60-70 MB. Check the screenshot before replying

    Yes I am user with IP address starting with 117. The screenshot I posted is from the XLS that I got from that link itself. The selfcare website is not up to date. I think my consumer number is 8 digits only.

    i did see that......but i wanted to know ur ip starts with.if its 59.** then u have to reboot but in case its 117.** then no need to reboot in most cases.
