Change of Broadband plan is effected from the following month of an user's application.My question is, how the user could know the change? I have applied for the change in the middle of December'09, but I am not sure whether the change has at all been effected.

Go to data.bsnl.in, under my orders, enter the telephone no the prescribed format and hit search. Make sure that you see provisioned. Also check the effective date.

Or the better way is to get the number of your broadband officer and call him whether you plan changed or not. You can also go to bsnl account usage details and see under which plan your account is.

Just one important thing please keep an acknowledged copy of letter for plan changed.

one more tip - always raise the application well in advance - do not wait until last week of the month. else they might not affect the change on 1st of the month. and there arise the calculation problems.
