What is the basic difference between combo 500 and home 500 plans of bsnl?
What is the basic difference between combo 500 and home 500 plans of bsnl?
Plan 500 Combo : 1.5 GB limit excluding free hours (2am to 8 am)
175 free telephone calls
No telephone rental
Plan Home 500 : 2.5 GB limit excluding free hours (2am to 8 am)
Have to pay Telephone rent according to B-Fone plan
No of free calls depends on your B-Fone plan
There is a wide difference between these two Tariff plans.Home 500 means For Rs 500per month u will get 2.5 Gb free UL/DL.the telephone tariff will be the usual rental plus call charges. The bytes beyond 2.5Gb will be charged at 80ps/Mb.
Combo 500 means For the same Rs 500 u will have only 1.5 Gb free UL/DL but will have 175 free calls per month.the calls beyond free limit will be charged as per ONEINDIA plan. This plan is ok for those whose regular phone bill is between Rs 650-800 in bi monthly bill. And also those who use the BB connection just for browsing in a limited way with e mail checking etc.BUt both plans have this free period between 2a m and 8 am every day.in this plan also excess beyong 1.5 Gb costs 80ps/mb.
so combo 500 plan will work out cheaper than home 500 for judicious users of both BB as well as phone. My own case is an example. IN Combo tariff it wil work out 20% less for govt PSU employees.I, being a a retd BHEL
executive am aviling the 20%concessional tariff in combo 500 plan.
