Default How to check your BSNL broadband usage details

I have seen many queries asking how to check the usage details. Most probably it is the most sought out question in this forum. Here is my small contribution towards this topic.

    1. Go to data.bsnl.in, enter your 14 digit portal ID, under postpaid services check your usage details.

    2. SMS and email alerts. Go to bbusage.bsnl.in and register your account. Please give ample time before you get alerts.

    3. Install a third party bandwidth meter. Shaplus bandwidth meter will be a good choice.

    4. Hyderabad users, please check here - ww.selfcare.sdc.bsnl.co.in

These are 4 different source to check your usage details. There are many tools which provide access through their interface. One example is How to check BSNL Broadband usage

The shaplus application you linked at last is very nice. Its saving my valuable time to visit usage site, to manually enter portal id, password, to select service category & so on.. Application does all this on its own. .

check here and select tautology bandwidth meter.
Use both and see any difference .
Both have option to disable metering during NU period.

    for many more meters.

If you use FireFox Browser try Addon DataFox.
    Works fine for IP 59.xx.xx.xx. @ dataone.in
Also for Ip 117.xx.xx.xx , @ bsnl.in but some problem reported recently. try and please give feedback.

Make a call to your local exchange. They keep it in their records. username@bsnl.in is the connection ID or User ID.

    Default Cant Check Usage

    Hello Guys,
I have been using the data.bsnl.in portal for checking my usage for a year now, but from last two days, the interface has changed and I am not anymore able to understand how to check my usage. I go to the site and enter my login id and password. The password is accepted and I am logged in. But what I see is attached in a screenshot. Can somebody please tell me what might be the problem or anybody sailing the same ship?
    Help would be much appriciated!

You have to get Usage portal ID and PW password, from your exchange.
If you know your location is included in selfcare sites
try to register there with your own ID.
Password supposed to be sent to the email address you provide.
    This may take a week.

Angry Need help to check usage (Chandigarh Circle)

    Hi
I have been using data.bsnl.in to check my broadband usage but for past couple of weeks the interface has changed. When i log into the portal, i see four links for north, south, east and west. My city Chandigarh is not listed in the north zone.

I still try to logon to ndc selfcare with the same userid and password that I was using earlier for data.bsnl.in portal, but it doesnt work. When i try to register as an existing customer, it asks me for the for customer id. I dont have a customer id in my bsnl bill. I have a customer number which is very big something like PBCHDxxxxxxxxxxx (where x is a numeral).

Looks like selfcare ndc is not for me as Chandigarh is not listed and i don't even have a customer id. Please help me

I have downloaded a utility from bbusage website to check my usage but it sometime gives random results that cannot be trusted. Please help me log into the site and check my proper usage as i was doing before.

Just checked the list. Chandigarh is not listed. But for those who the list comes in data.bsnl.in, they are presumably shifted to the corresponding portal.

There is nothing much we can do from here. Call customer care and ask them the relevant portal. You can get the ID and password from exchange.

Most of us use a bandwidth meter to keep an eye on our usage. You can try one from Shaplus or Networx.

    Thanks for the response bro!

One small thing, I download the networx utility to track my usage. It does tell me the usage correctly but i want to filter the records from 2 AM to 8 AM coz this is free period. I want to track my usage in all other time periods other than 2-8 AM slot.

Is there a option in networx to ignore this time slot? Suggest me some other tool that has this capability if networx cant do this

I dont want to exceed the 2.5 GB limit (2-8 AM is free, Home 500C plan)

To disable during 2 -8 am,

System tray > Networx > Settings > Advanced > Hours in 24 hour format > mark as " Unmeterd ".

There are add ons available for browsers which can block ads and flash content. This may be a bit embarrassing but helps you save around 300 MB per month. Give it a try.

    Probably North http:// selfcare.ndc.bsnl.co.in

REGISTER. Use your own choice of ID.
Don't use such a long ID used here Appears to be your BSNL USERID
. Get PW from BSNL. Enjoy !!

You cannot give Password of your choice. BSNL will send it to you.
A computer random generated PW. later you can change it in the portal itself.
USE a plain word as your portal USER ID . Example deepak1234

    Use IE Explorer :
Register as New user with own choice of ID
Wait for PW from BSNL. ( check your email )

Check in your selfcare portal, how downloads/surfing overlapping time blocks are recorded.
Say download a file between 0155AM and 0230 AM
Or surf and download between 0745AM and 0835 AM.
Day block and Night block downloads shown separately ?

If you are impatient , cannot help.
Register at a selfcare portal with Your OWN ID and wait for PW
    from BSNL.
    ( zone normally North/WEST/EAST/South India )
    Download NetworX and check locally

    ADD to post No 48.
DataFox add on with Firefox/Chrome browser will not
work for self care portals sdc edc wdc and ndc.

DataFox ( mainly for 59.xx.xx.xx bsnl users ) modified for
Ip 117.xx.xx.xx data.bsnl.in for Chennai and Bengaluru users.
Kolkata users are being shifted to self care portals.
