ARTICLE ONE : Suggestion/s to new users also Old users!

OK. Welcome to the broadband service provided by BSNL.
Hope your connection is working, and you are getting the the feel of surfing .
Now, You may like to improve the Modem/router settings for better speed, less disconnections/ port forwarding etc.
This article gives some hints, so that your system gives good performance. The first step, you have already takenby visiting this forum for help / solutions from some of the members /Admin/moderators.

1. Before making a post, see the ARCHIVES link at bottom of page and see, whether your problem is listed.
usually, the first two pages index may give you an old thread.
Select that thread, and post yours.( of course check it is relevant to your problem )

2. Titles such as "URGENT" "Help Me" "I am in difficulty""what is happening to " " Please help me " "What is wrong with BSNL "etc are to be avoided.
You can seemany examples in the archives.They get lost in course of time.

Say your modem is UT300R2U and you have a problem .
The title :
" UT300R2U unable to access settings"
" UT300R2U unstable operation"
" UT300R2U Port forwarding " etc
will be apt titles. .

3. Give maximum information, in short paragraphs , and give breaks between sentences.
Avoid Bold Fonts in full post ,use judiciously to give emphasis. Be brief.

4. Any picture you insert, ensure it is of smaller size, jpg type, readable,and does not use too much KB and fits the page.
Or if uploaded and a link is given mention the size in KB.
I prefer to see them during free Night usage time because of quota for Day d/l.

5. When responding to members suggestions, using the Full QUOTE and replying ."The problem remains still !" is to be avoided. read carefully and give answers/feedback with short quotes, with steps taken.

6. Do respond /confirm , when your problem is solved, as this will help other members at a later date.

7. Usually members , like to discuss , in the forum only ,and incase you want response/clarification from a member quickly, send a PM ( Private Message) Reply not assured.

8. Many reference links are given in posts, and if you copy them with short title, and keep a record, it will help a lot.
Or if you open the link save to Favorites/Book marks.
For Example : for queries about tariff
plans a BSNL web site may be given.

9. Hope the above hints were useful, and enjoy your participation in this forum.

Suspected some problem and reposted.
Also made complaint in "Suggestions and complaints" forum Post No 25.
