Default Booster Antennae for Nokia Siemens 1600

For reasons unknown, the site of this router/wifi is in a room that reduces the singal power a lot. The people using it won't move it, which is dumb but nothing to be done. However changing the Antennae for a high gain one would be OK. The device doesn't seem to be very good to be honest but that's what BSNL provided.

Has anyone used a high gain antennae with this Wifi unit and do they have any recommendations for types and where one might be purchased online (this is in Vrindavan and they have no computer shops there).

    Thanks for any help!

At least reposition the WIFI router
    at a higher height.
What is the distance involved for reception
    at other locations.
Can use RJ45 cable to connect to another
WIFI router ( cost from rs 1500 to Rs 3000/=), to ensure mobility for the laptop user.
    Confirm the Antenna is detachable.
or a Radio/TV technician can help.
" Line of Sight" is not available, using
different Antenna ( directional )will not help

    Para two:
Rotate the laptop, so that the WLanCard
points in the direction of the WIFI router's
    Antenna.

    Feedback.

REF: similar modem/wifi router : confirm.

Thanks for the thoughts but I laready know about that and all that has been done. That is why I am looking to see if there is a higain omni-directional attena that works with this system. If not then buying a better wifi unit and directly connecting it is the next option.

    Thanks
