    Question Wireless Internet Connection HELP..!

    Hi Everyone...

I have BSNL connection in my house. My Modem is provided with BSNL
Modem Model Number is : WA3002G4

My Computer is connected with modem from LAN port 1 in the modem.
My laptop is a lenovo. I connect my computer using Bridge mode in the modem i.e Enter username and password each time to connect to the net..
The problem arises here.. Whenever my modem is set in bridge mode IM UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE NET IN LAPTOP WHICH IS WIRELESSLY CONNECTED. But When my MODEM is set in PPPOE Mode.. im able to connect seamlessly..

I want Bridge mode connection in modem so that none can misuse my connection.
Can any one help in resolving this problem..
Im a NOOB so plz clearly explain to me of how to make it work..!

Better stay in PPPoE. Nobody can misuse the connection. If you want to connect in Bridge mode, you need to set your desktop as a server and keep it ON everytime you connect the laptop.

    "ALWAY ON" mode preferred.
when more than one system is to be used.
    2.
My setup adsl modem+wifirouter 'Always On"
I can use other WIFI network connections
    which show "Unsecured '"!
Also If default Id/PW not changed for modem
Get details of unknown user's modem details
    also userID and password
if user is on "Always On" mode .
    3.
    Suggestions:
    In Lenovo: Check ethernet adapter
is built in./available. ( for info only )
    4.
    Open 192.168.1.1 admin admin
tools : change modem access password.
APPLY/ save/ Reboot wait for two minutes.
    3.
WIFI security code essential. as mentioned here.
    4.
    Presume for the Desktop computer
you have to enter the computer ID and PW. also.
for others to access computer and Internet.
Any way for "dialer' mode you have to enter
    BSNL userId and PW.

    Para two:

in Bridge mode only one can connect not two or more.

and if u want to disconnect in PPPOE mode at anytime then just switch off and to connect again switch on ur modem.

Download via LAN Not wifi mode.

Setup the PPPOE to your desktop

Go to Network Connections in your Desktop computer

Now Right Click in your PPPOE connection and then properties. it will open up a windo.

    Now go to Advanced tab

Tick ON the option Allow other users to connect through this computer's Internet Connection and other option also tick on.

    Now click OK

    Now go to Lan Properties

    SubNet Musk 255.255.255.0
    Default Gateway 192.168.1.1

    Prefearred DNS Server 192.168.1.1

Do not use obtain IP address automatically

Now go to your Laptop and set the settings like below

Go to your Wireless Lan properties

Then Internet protocal, Set the manually IP address like below
