    Default Frequent disconnects..

This is becoming highly irritating. For the past one month or so ,making a connection itself takes time.Over that connection is frequently disturbed. And reconnecting takes a lot of time. Esp in the free hours I am facing huge problems. I have complained to the BSNL people.

Also I notice that there is always some noise (Wind Fluttering sound) in my telephone. Are they connected? What could be the answer?

    To do

    1. Check the splitter.

    2. Post your SNR and attenuation values.

    3. Mention your modem - model and make

Open your browser, type 192.168.1.1 in the address bar, a window will open, type ID and password as admin. Browse through the pages, you will find values of SNR and attenuation.

How did you checked your splitter ? Are you sure that it is ok. Splitter should come first all other connection (parallel lines if any) should come only after splitter. Bypass the splitter and check.

Walk in to the exchange and politely talk to the engineer there, ferry him to your place.. usually these people are nice guys, and very helpful.. this way works fastest..esp if there is any hardware/cabling issues

it is already in G.dmt mode with adsl+2 unchecked. so modem and splitter are two items left. i called exchange people, they said they'll check. let's see what happened. actually i can't attach my usage pic as I'm under 15 post. it can show how horrible the line is in night. it was disconnected every 2-3 minutes.
