Default BSNL customer service not answering the phone!!!

I have tried to contact BSNL CSC in Goa using the 1800-424-1600 number and go through all the options to get to Broadband connection issues. Options 1,1,1,2 then the line goes dead!!!

This is from the BSNL website......

Access round the clock help at following toll free numbers

    Dataone Broadband '1600-424-1600'
PSTN Call Center '1500' (in select states)
    Sancharnet Help Desk '1957'
    CellOne all India Help '9400024365'

"All BSNL Customer Service Centers (CSCs) now remain open on all seven days from 8.00 AM to 8.00 PM without any break for all activities."

Anyone else have this problem with BSNL CSC?

Thanks for all replys in advance.

Just visit your exchange, why waste time and money on calling, meet personally to seniors & your problem will get solved.

I called 3 times before 12:00 and got a message that the number was busy. I called again, after 12:00, and now I get a message saying "Please check the number you have dialed" as if all of the sudden its the WRONG NUMBER!?!?? WTF!?!?!

Would be funny if I show up and there is a huge riot going on! Be nice to know I wasn't the only one PO'd with BSNL.

Thank you for the links essbebe.

I did manage to get someone on the phone who in turn gave me 3 numbers to call but no answer when I called them. When I called back and said no one was answering ( and I was very polite ) she just hung up on me. Absolutely RUDE!!!

Thanks rajesh. My landlord said the landlines are now down. But one of the techs are going to come over and try to fix my problem after they get the phones working.

Not necessary , phone SHOULD work for
    getting Internet connection.
Only a cross check to see line to Exchange is ok.
I have used Internet for two days with my
Bsnl L/L telephone out of order.
I dialed my OWN number from another
Airtel L/L Phone and could hear dialing rings.
Then assumed ONLY Phonelink from Exchange to my house is o/o/o. ( out of order).

Yes, but from what my landlord tells me, he seems to wear 2 hats ( maybe more ) as far as support. I want him to witness my authentication error and see how I cannot get through to anyone at BSNL for help. As of now, it apears to be a simple username/password reset on their end. .....

Thanks for all the feed back. Even though its frustrating not get my bb going, it sure has been a great learning experience none the less.

I have to say this works best - most of the time they are very helpful,
their system is slow, but once you approach the senior, it moves very fast.
So far, I have encountered nice people only.
