Currently the BSNL giving their user type I modem as free. But the type I CPE giving by the BSNL Nokia Siemens Network C2110 with Firmware version 55.1.04.10 have bug in the port forwarding and DMZ. Not only this version the previous version of model name Nokia Siemens Network with firmware V55.1.04.6 and V55.1.04.8 and V55.1.04.9 have bug or fault in the port forwarding and DMZ section. If you set a port number to forward the packets it will not work. But in the previous version of the firmware which is only say the name Siemens works good with the Port Forwarding and DMZ rules. The previous version of Siemens firmware is V55.1.03.06 and V55.1.04.02. but in the firmware of V55.1.03.06 have problem with the auto disconnect if there is no trafic on the line or when the LAN side traffic is idle. The problem only you can face when you are useing Windows 2000, Windows NT, Windows ME, Windows 98 and 95. Windows XP and upper version of windows does not face this problem because the CPE C2110 with firmware v55.1.04.10 has UPNP enable. Windows XP and upper version of Windows support UPNP. So If you have Windows XP or using upper version of Windows then you dont need to set port forward. But remember if the application ( like utorrent ) have the UPNP port mapping inbuild then it will connectable form outside. If there is no UPNP port mapping inbuild in the application then it will not possible to connect from outside. The toll PFPortChecker will help to cheak the specify port is open or not in the CPE. You can download this tool from the Portforward.com. The problem start with the Port Forwarding and DMZ from the relese of Nokia siemens Networks. This relese of all firmware have bug or fault in the Port Forwarding and DMZ even in the letest firmware V55.1.04.10.
So if anyone have Nokia siemens Networks firmware and want to port forward for an application but that application does not support UPNP or dont have inbuild UPNP port mapping then the user need to downgrade their CPE firmware from Nokia siemens Networks to SIEMENS. Another bug is there in the firmware is the auto disconnect feture or the Idle time out. If there is no traffic on the LAN then the auto disconnect feture does not work. But this feture work good in the firmware version 55.1.04.10.

may be needed only for accessing Port forwarding options.

or

Generally 192.168.1.1/main.html or 192.168.1.1/home.html tried.

I MEAN TO SAY WHICH ONE IS OLD VERSION AND WHICH ONE IS LATEST VERSION..

See my problem is that..
one day I opened my system (os- vista) and then connected to bsnl.My package is unlimited one.Then I opened my browser and I was automatically forwarded to motive.bsnl.co.in or .com i don't remember.Then I upgreaded my firmware and then my connection went off. Then i tried to reconnect but i received the 678 error.I was not able to solve it any how.Then i connected internet with reliance net connect and googled. Finally came to this forum and see your post..

please help me what should i do.
I want to reset my firmware to before version( the one before upgrade)..

He has given the download links explaining which is old and which is latest.
You have to get the FW details from the modem.
While typing here the FW order is seen !
Latest : V55.1.04.10
recent : V55.1.03.06
Old : V55.1.04.02
If you can access the modem settings , No need to worry about FW now. Try
an "Always On " PPP/PPPoE connection.
The error 678 usually seen when you use "Dialer Mode.
