in windows 7 , 1st you need to install telnet rest will work as it was working in XP. in XP Telnet is by-default installed.
Go to the Control Panel.
Click on the sub heading Uninstall a program under the main heading Programs.
NOTE: IF you are in the Classic View click on Programs and Features.
Now in the left panel under the Tasks select the option Turn Windows features on or off.
Now a new window opens. In the new window select the following
Telnet Client
Telnet Server (optional)
5. After selecting click on OK.
Now wait for few minutes till the telnet feature is installed.Once the telnet feature is installed you can goto the command prompt and use the telnet command.System restart is not required.
i ngot bsnl wll highspeed internet. the h/s is CT800P. but the driver is not taking in win 7. it supports only in xp, 2000 and vista. i tried many ways. installed Win XP mode for win 7. but in XP mode too, it's not even detecting new device. in win 7 the msg comes when i plug the usb, "New hardware found". we've to show the path of driver files. (as the cd comes with no istallation package. only driver files). it not supporting. pls help if there is a way to be connected in win 7.![]()

do you face any problem in connecting internet awaking from hibernation? I'm going to use Windows 7 but I'm hesitating as I heard in this forum that there is a problem in Win 7 to connect net after hibernation. My automate schedule is absolutely flawless in Win XP.
i have never used bridged mode..no idea!
Sorry.. no idea
