Default do i have to tweak my utorrent client ??

    i am on bsnl 500 C [dlink 802c ] [ppoe mode ] [gdmt]

during night hours i get a constant 200 - 210 kBPS for HTTP DOWNLOADS and 120 to 140 KBPS combined in utorrent

    the problem is i get hardly 30 to 40 kbps if i am downloading a single torrent.. with seeder/ leecher ratio like 12 - 1 .. i 20 - 5 etc .. s this normal ??

so i always download atleast 6 torrents at the same time and i get somewhere like 120 - 140 kBPS .... is it possible to get atleast 150 kBPS for a single torrent without tweaking any setting ??

the thing is i get 150KBps combined speed during the yellow triangle and ..sometimes the yellow triangle turns automatically to the red exclamation mark ..and speed reduces to 10 - 20 KBps why does it change like that ???

    BUT
..... yesterday for the first time .. i got 210 KBps speed on a single torrent for 3 hours.. without tweaking anything .. ie no half port setting .. nor port forward.......

i've looked into all the dlink threads on port forwarding but everything's for model 502c and not 802 can somebody help me find a tutorial for 802c

itsrijo first you have to check what have your Line speed. When you get 30 to 40 KBps on a single torrent then go to your Router's GUI web page and check the what Line speed you see. For BB 500 the speed should be 2048kbps for download and 256kbps for upload. If shows greter then this value then also good but if shows lower then 2048kbps for downlod and lower then 256kbps for upload then you cant get the 2Mbps speed.
If all above are OK from your side try to use good private torrent site where you can get allwase good downlod speed. Port forwarding dosenot need on those private site unless if there is very low seeder like 4 or 5 and if the seeder are not connectable.

For checking line rate in GLB-802C see the Tx Line Rate and Rx Line Rate

    my status usally is

    Tx Line Rate: 512 Kbps
    Rx Line Rate: 2048 Kbps

but even then .. the speed is only 30 to 40 kbps per torrent .... but all 6 combined i get 180 kbps ....

Did you tried port forwarding ? Try a Knoppix torrent and check your speed.

^^^ at the connection speed of 2048Kbps you can easily get the 200KBps DL in single torrent.
but when Rx Line Rate: 648 Kbps then you get the 30 to 40 kbps

You have to cheak it your self.

And other thing you have to check that take your phone receiver and try to notice is there any noise or disturbing sound you here. If that then call your BSNL.
