    Default nokia siemens router setting

Last day by mistake one of my friend changed the setting of my router(nokia siemens c2100).
My router was in bridge mode.
After that i am not getting any net connectivity.
Is there any way i can get back my settings.
I tried to reboot but it didn't worked.

Reset your router. There will be a small on the bottom or side. Use a refill and hold it for 20 seconds. Then enter the user name and password. If in doubt, please feel free to ask.

    Refer this link also.
Should connect to Internet after resetting
.The reset access can be a small hole either in the rear or bottom right side round hole.
use ballpen refill with power on for 20 to 30 seconds
and press lightly the microswitch. .
    OR
if you can open 192.168.1.1 admin admin
under Tools menu reset option also may be available.

gautam.3864 was in bridge mode. resetting the router not set to bridge mode. Default mode is PPPoE.

gautam.3864 you need manually set to bridge mode after resetting the router.

    i reset the modem.
as told it should now in pppoe mode i tried to login but getting the error 678.
i also changed the router in bridge mode but still i am not getting connectivity.
but i found that under bridge mode it was able to take ip address something like
    117.158.xxx.xxx.
may be my modem is not working properly.

You are getting IP address of BSNL ISP in your Desktop so thats mean you are successfully sign in to BSNL ISP in bridge mode. If you are getting the IP address after sign in to your ISP then I dont see any problem for browsing and there is no problem with your Router. FW upgrade does not require in your case.

finally i was able to browse.
the thing is that when i reset the modem it was in pppoe mode
but i was not able to connect through username and password through wan miniport.i dont know why ?
but when switched over to bridge mode i was not checking the option default route.
but when i did this i was successful.
    but not in pppoe mode.
hope someday i may get the answer.

    Congrats !

In PPPoE do not need to use a dialler. Simply switch on the modem and you are ready to browse. If you use a dialler in this situation, it will give an error message.

pppoe mode need the default route enable. In bridge mode this option not needed.
You were not able to connect through the WAN miniport because you was in pppoe mode.

    @gautam.3864
it would be better if we use the term"Dialer"
    mode and "'Always On" mode.
@talktoanil has pointed out that in this modem
the default factory setting is PPPoE,
and after resetting to defaults ,the modem,

"Dialer" connection will not connect automatically.
( in most other modems you get connected )

    PPPoE creating confusion.
In most WAN pages PPPoE button ,if selected needs
ID and Pw to be set.in the modem.
"Bridged" means we use an External "Dialer"
    ( userID/PW not entered in modem )

sorry i misunderstood the two words pppoe and bridge.
    i think i interchanged the meaning .
when i took the connection then i was using dialer so it was in bridge(dialer) mode.
then i switched over to pppoe for multiple connection .
when i reset the modem i was again in pppoe modem.
but i think setting was changed so again i had to made some changes.
    somehow i learned many things.
    thanx everybody!!!!
