Thread: is bsnl throttling speed ?

i am using home 500 connection !
my usange for this month is aprox 60 gB !
but from day or two i am not getting constant speeds !
the speed is 225 kBps for few minutes than goes back to 150 and than back to 225 ?
i tested speeed on torrentleech,scc and waffels(loads of seeder) same result !
is there any fup in home 500 or bsnl is throttling bittorrent traffic ?

Bsnl dont engage in speed throttling and there is no FUP in H500 plan.
you are getting a good speed and torrents cant be considered to judge the speed.

Well they dont throttle but the over all speed has decreased as far I have seen. Previously I used to get ~230 KBPS download speed. Now I get upto 210 KBPS.

Only way to test that is to download a torrent with high seed ratio.

bsnl will not throttle..instead they will simply choke the routers with additional traffic that automatically slows the traffic..a cost efective method
