Thread: Configuring NETGEAR DGN2000

I am trying to configure NETGEAR 2000 for BSNL BROADBAND connection at home.

As per the directions, the physical connections were made. (the telephone line from splitter, LAN cable to computer)

I also changed the BASIC SETTINGS, like

Encapsulation as 'PPPoE',
entered username & password,
Muliplexing to 'LLC'
VPI to '0'
VPC to '35'

Am i making any mistake?
The DSL, Wireless light are up & 'solid green' but the internet shows red. Any help?

Option 1 :
First try a Lan connection.
then wifi.
mention your OS. XP VISTA or Windows 7.

Did you press the Button in step 2 ?
presume you have set both LAN and WLAN in your computer.
Start/All programs/Accessories/communications.
network connection wizards.

New window
type ipconfig /all

Since this model is 3 -in- One
(adsl modem+router + wifi)
better to try LAn mode first.
hope you have the Installation CD.

When you click the WIFI ICON in taskbar
select show "Available Wireless networks "
Do you see any secured/unsecured networks including yours ?
