    Default Erroneous accountal of Broadband usage

    I have changed my Broadband plan from Home-250 to 500 combo plan, the change has been effected from January 2010.But while checking my usage details, I found that my Broadband usage within the 'night unlimited' period(say 6-00am to 08-00am in this case) has been charged . In some cases however 'zero usage' has been shown for the same period (6 am-8 am). Erroneously charged usage works out to 380 Mb app. during the month and taking this into account my total usage has gone beyond the free limit of 1.5 GB.What should be the remedy and how to get the matter sorted out ? I am sure that the local BSNL authorities would prefer to sit tight over my complain if lodged.

    You need to reboot your modem a little after 2.00 am and a little before 8.00 am. The start and end times should be within the 2 - 8 slot.

    @Amitava
    Take a print out of your usage page for the month. ( 2 copies )
    Highlight the "disputed" entries.
    A.O may agree to calculate on average basis
    for overlapping entries.
    As advised above, keep the modem "off" at 0155 and schedule D/L from say 0205 AM.
    And again switch off the modem or disconnect at say about 0755 AM daily.
    It is obviously "Bug" in Bsnl meter. if
    chargeable and free times dont overlap.
