Thread: Help regarding netgear wgr614v9

i jst bought netgear wgr614 v9 router(frm US) and i have zte zxdsl 831AII modem with BSNL dataone connection.... i am using ubuntu 9.10

i have configured router for DHCP and can able to connect to Internet through router status page...
also the router shows green flashing light aftr getting connected


but the real problem is i cannot able to open the sites.... it says waiting for....

and the amazing thing is i can download frm torrents client , i can chat through IM client ....

i have disabled all security settings bt cant able to change the region

in short i cant do surfing ...

guys plz help..........

Hope you have created a WIFI network in your computer/desktop or laptop.

hmm..interesting.. since torrents are working , it seems like a local pc problem.. make sure firefox is not in offline mode.. also post output of ping google.com and ping 208.67.222.222 from your command prompt

i got it figured out by upgrading the firmware to the latest and then i cud able to select the region to the asia n dat all solved the prblm
