    Default Beginner's Guide for BSNL

    First check your IP here

What Is My IP Address? - Lookup IP, Hide IP, Change IP, Trace IP and more...

You may get the result as 117.xxx.xxx.xxx or 59.xxx.xxx.xxx. It defines your server. If you got 117.xx, you are in National Internet Backbone I or NIB I. If you get 59.xx, you are in NIB II. You may think what is the need for checking IP ? and how will it affect us. Well, it makes all the difference. If you are NIB II as I am, your email ID will be abdc@bsnl.in. For NIB I it is abcd@dataone.in. Here begins everything. Usage checking portal is different for both users.

    For NIB I, it is

    http://sancharnet.in/dataone.redirect.htm

    http://sancharnet.in/dataoneredirect.htm

    http://10.240.64.195
    http://10.240.89.199
    http://10.240.128.195
    http://10.240.16.195
    http://10.240.144.195

    http://dataone.in/

    For NIB II,

    BSNL Portal and

    CRM (Only for Hyderabad users)

Once you are settled, and checked the usage, you might wonder that am I using the best plan ? You can check it here

    Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.

There are different types of plans

    1. Unlimited

    2. Limited with Night Unlimited

    3. Limited plans without Night unlimited

From the above link, you can browse through the plans and compare them. Once you apply a plan change, you should know whether is changed or not. Please refer

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...firmation.html (Plan change confirmation)

To avoid surprises, you may also need

    http://www.indiabroadband.net/bsnl-b...an-change.html (Precautions during plan change)

For latest news and plans, check here

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd.- India's No. 1 Telecommunications Company

From this link, you may also get the name and contact details of authorities in each circle. You can use them to complain or in need of assistance.

    Hope this helped.

I am sorry that you felt so angry for them, but sometimes its only cause of technical mistakes. And even whatever it be,! I hope you know the correct meaning of Bastard. Our forum is clean, please dont use such language again.!

    Register at Loading Portal...
You can use your own choice of ID ( remember it or note down somewhere !)
You will get PW from BSNL in email or sms .
Log in again and check the menu items.

    @Tushar Thakor
    1.
Did you get a small slip from Exchange giving details of
your USERID /PW to connect to Internet?
Also an email ID and password.
Contact customer Care ( BB section ) of your Exchange.
    2.
( this can be stored in the modem router also )
    confirm modem/model/number/make.
Access 192.168.1.1 ID admin PW admin
    Modem/router menu pages will open
Check select Line 0-35 and get your ID PW usually password.
If PPPoE mode has been selected ( You get connected to
Internet as soon as you switch on the system computer and modem )
    3.
For Usage check change of tariff plan, etc See Post No. 10 again.!!! after you obtain details in 1.
