Thread: no gateway reply

this is what my phone e63 says to me when i connect it with wifi modem. what does it mean? the same modem is working fine with pc nd internet is working fine. the fone also worked fine with another wifi modem and connection. modem is siemens and broadband is of bsnl and i am from India.

did every thing.resetted modem. connected router settings via 192.168.1.1. den rest every thing. tried by disabling dhcp server. simultaneously entered ip,mask,gateway,dns adresses in d fone also. still unable to connect.

Please mention your modem - model and make

Start > run > cmd > ipconfig/all, post the data here.

Enable DHCP in your modem.

modem is siemens adsl sl2-141.
and dhcp is on now.

Which is your connecting mode ? PPPoE or Bridge ?

please see for wifi settings. link given. Modem Hardware board and settings pages similar.
In your phone the wifi network name you have assigned in WIFI modem/router should appear.

Can you use your laptop in WIFI mode ?
