cannot open 192.168.1.1

    Question cannot open 192.168.1.1

    Hi friends,
    I'm using netfox ADSl modem to connect to internet.. for the past two days i cant open my 192.168.1.1 page... It keep on loading and produce an error message of no or limited connectivity and when i click for more information it says that your computer cannot be assigned a network adress... I dono where the problem is.. Is my ethernet card collapsed?? Im screaming. Plz help me friends. Im really need of it..

    RESET the modem and then try in Dialer mode

    to connect to Internet.
    or try to access 192.168.1.1
    Post ipconfig /all

    Start RUN type cmd Ok
    new window
    type ipconfig /all
    Copy/Paste data here.

    I also got this error about 3 months ago but then I reset my modem and it started working...........

    press reset button.its @ backside of modem(beside etherenet port)
    it will reboot modem.after 1-2min try,it will get open

    Presume you are not getting connected to Internet.
    3.
    RESET the modem and then try.
    4
    DNS entries use only two .
    Or
    5.
    Try obtain Ip address automatically
    DNS also automatically
    In TCp/Ip properties page.
    Apply save.

    6.Check again ipconfig /all
    and try the default gateway shown.
    TCP/IP properties page.

    opening this thread agin

    hi fellows greetings to all, i m facing i peculiar problem. i have windows 7 in my laptop the modem that iam using iti type 1 adsl2 its working fine with net and modem config window opening with 192.168.1.1 .....the problem is with my desktop which has XP installed it is not opening modem lan link i tried to config it manually but all efforts in vain also the status of received packets is all zero in xp......tried everything from reseting to turning of firewall but nothing is helping.also ping is timed out

    but the modem works fine with laptop with with no hassles. any solution ??
