Thread: Help needed in using BSNL Broadband in ubuntu 9.04

Hello all,

I recently bought a new BSNL broadband service. I am using ubuntu 9.04. The modem is "ADSL MODEM" and the model is 831AII. I followed many guidelines that i found on internet to configure bsnl broadband modem in ubuntu 9.04. But, none of them worked for me.

When I changed the settings on http ://192.168.1.1 for the modem, it shows that the modem is connected and also it shows the ip address.

I even tried System->Preferences->Network Connections and added a new DSL connection. It didn't work.

I used the application "gnome ppp" also.

But none of them worked.

Can anyone tell me how to configure BSNL broadband in ubuntu 9.04 successfully?
