Default Setting up wireless router Airlink 101 Mimo XR #AR525W

Hi,
I brought my router from US. I was using it with cable modem there and setup was very easy. They have installation guide and I tried to setup wireless router with my BSNL smartax Mt882 modem.
I followed the steps, but there is no connectivity between DSL modem and wireless router.
I have connected output of modem to WLAN port of my router. Is that right,
Also for using modem directly as a LAN connection, we have to assign ip addresses to LAN, Is that a problem while setting up wi-fi router?
Both of them are using same port as 192.168.1.1.
Can somebody help me in this?

Default how to

disconnect adsl modem >Type 192.168.1.1 inthe address bar and access theweb configuratuin page of airlink, in the setup select static ip and allot ip as 192.168.0.1 and save it .next time to access web config u have to type 192.168.0.1.After changing ip of airlink connect the adsl modem .Restart or unplug the power of airlink and adsl modem and reconnect.now it should work fine.Racing situation avoided

Avinash, I have Airlink wireless modem AR430W (got real cheap for $9.99 ).

You should connect the LAN port of BSNL smartax Mt882 to one of the LAN ports (1~4) of the Airlink modem. Do not connect it to the Internet/WLAN port.

For problem 2, change the IP address of the Airlink modem to 192.168.2.1 or something other than 192.168.1.x

Hope this helps.
