Have you set your upload speed to unlimited???Set it to 15 KB/s.

Download only that torrents that are having very high seeders.
Use private trackers to download torrents.

If you are using Vista or 7, then download the Network meter (a sidebar Gadget). It shows the speed you are getting at the time. In the meter you will see the upload speed. Set your upload such that it never crosses 36 KB/s. If it will above that your download speed will suffer.

    Which downloader do you use?

I recommend to use private trackers to download torrents........
Do you download in public tracker??

How much items do you download at the same time......1 2 3

    1. Go to speedtest.net, conduct a speed test and post the forum link.

    2. Try torrents with Private tracker

    3. Try TCP/IP optimizer from speedguide.net

    4. Try port forwarding guide from portforward.com

    5. Try Bridge mode and check.

Please note that the speed check will consume around 15 MB. It will be wise to do it during night unlimited.

Actually it depends on our internet connection.
For 2 Mbps, it consumes 2.1 - 2.4 MB for download and 280 - 740 KB for upload of data transfer.

For 8 Mbps connection, it consumes 15 MB.

I have investigated over this on all connections from 128 Kbps to 45 Mbps on www.speedtest.net

Unlike piratebay and isohunt there are sites which allows only members to download stuff. The member need to keep a good ratio. Eg. Demenoid.

You may need an invitation to get into private trackers. There are many sites where you get invites for private tracks or you can check with your friends.

Go to Bittorrent TRackers Automatic Checking System - A.K.A BTRACS and see the private trackers that are open for registering..............
Register on any one and after that start downloading with full speed.

In private trackers you have to maintain your Download/Upload ratio to good.

Speed is much less than what it should. Try a different server say Chennai or Newyork. Make sure that other applications are not using internet.
