    Default Unusual broadband usage

    Hi all,

I have an interesting question. I m using bsnl broadband 500 home plan since the last 2 months. well this month, I wanted to keep a track on my broadband usage so I downloaded the usage details from the portal after every 3 days. Strangely, till the 19th of this month my chargeable data was 2.6 gb, but when I checked my usage detail on the 21st, it shows 1.6 gb (the data for the 3rd of february wherein i used most during the daytime was missing from the usage detail) and even today the 22nd february my usage is shown to be 1.6 gb. I am wondering whether, bsnl will correct this mistake and send me the corrected bill or am I just lucky, and I can go on using the extra 0.9gb without fearing that it would be charged. Since I am a new user I dont know what to do. Should I be careful and dont overuse or is this a mistake from bsnl and I can take advantage of it (lol). Please let me know.

Are you sure you used 1 GB download on a single day ?
Check your folders for 3rd Feb and confirm any application/music/video/movie etc
    downloaded.
Try/Check with method 2 &3 from this link.

    Mention modem/router/ model/make/number.
Confirm you use wifi and "AlwaysOn" PPP/PPPoE mode.
( Means Your UserIDPW entered in wan page )
    Confirm Modem/system desktop/laptop was on.
or both were switched off. on 22nd Feb 2010.

Try this usage meter, as standby for BSNL usage portal.
Data as given in BSNL site FINAL.

It means 1.6 Gb download and 1Gb uploading traffic has been taken place. No download without upload it is like two faces of one coin.

    yesterday peculiar usage report happened.
    I started connection at 1.19AM, report 1.19am to 2.00am 18MB
    reconnected at 2.09am 2.00am to 2.09am 0MB
    closed at 5.54 Am 5.54am to 7.54am 0MB

How can this happen? the last 5.54 to 7.54 is ridiculous, there is a problem with software
so billing can be erroneous.Thank god it in this case zero for free-time.

Can anybody has answer for this
