Thread: snr margin problem !

hi guys,
i am using home 500 from 2 years now !
but now a days my snr margin jumps between 2 db to 8 or 10 db !
i called the line man before but he says the line is perfect and gives justification by make me hear the dial from there portable phones and really ther is not any disturbance in line !
so why i am getting low snr margin all the time !
my main line first go into the splitter than to my modem and to the phone simultaneously !
so is there are any other factors affecting snr margin other than line ?
my home distance from exchange aprox 6 km !
so any solutions ?

bsnl line man only bothers if dsl led is steady or not they know nothing about snr margin !
my up stream snr margin is always above 22 db same with attenuation down stream is 40 db and upstream is 22 db why upstream is good and downstream not ?

the problem is becoming unbearable now !

use an ADDITIONAL ADSL splitter for the phone in the ground floor. and for other phones not connected via ADSL splitter.
