Thread: nokia siemens c2100 link/dsl light is not glowing

i have nokia siemens c2100 modem.
last day i found that my link/dsl light was not glowing.
phone line is working properly.
i tried to reset the modem but reset button is also not working.
i have been using this modem for last 18 months.
is my modem corrupted?
help plzzz

Reconnect all the cables(mainly the problem will be with telephone cable)............
I also got this problem, 4-5 months ago, and this has solved it.

i have reconnected all the cables but still it is not working

Try connecting the cable coming from outside directly to the modem.
I mean remove the telephone in between. If resolved then the problem is with cable.

Check the splitter. Also try bypassing the spiltter. Connect line directly to the modem and check. Make a call to the local exchange and check whether any repairs are going on. To reset the modem, there is small hole in the back side of the modem. Hold it for say 30- 40 seconds.

Start > run > cmd >ipconfig/all, post the screen shot.

i have checked the spliter.i have connected the telephone line directly to modem.
its still not working.
reset is also not working.
192.168.1.1 is also not working

If reset do not working, the problem may be in modem. Call BSNL and ask for a modem replacement.

Once again try resetting. Hold the button for around one minute before releasing.
