Default configuring netgear dg632 for BSNL

    Hi,
Could you all please tell me how you configured your router/modems?.
I have bought a netgear dg632 ADSL Router+Modem. I followed the instructions in the manual. It says, I just use the setup wizard and let the device automatically detect the type of internet I have.

However, the wizard fails saying it could not detect the internet settings.
The green light for ADSL connectivity is on. I also reset the router and checked. Still the setup wizard fails.

Is there anything I can or should check?.
    Some more background info -
I tried to set it manually and failed again. I choose pppoe, have a user name and password from ISP and dynamically set ip and dns. The list of countires doesn't list India, so I chose 'Other'.
There were some fields I couldn't understand - Multiplexing method ,vpi, vci.

If you have faced such a problem please let me know. If possible please explain the multiplexing, vpi and vci terms.

    Thanks

^ no need to use multiplexing .

for vpi --> enter zero and for vci --> enter 35 .
it should work with these values .

if you need a general guide for configuration
pls see this link : MT841 guide

although it is for a different router , it gives the
general configuration details for any modem / router .

    01:My routers model is "DGND3300"

    02:
Since this is an Adsl modem + wifi router
confirm you are not using any other modem. ( model/make)

    03:
    For BSNL VPI/VCI 0 and 35.
( if you have another modem check
    connection to Internet, and confirm
line is OK . Keep it as standby )

    04:
Try again with installation CD after connecting RJ11phone cable direct to unit
    ( without any adsl splitter.
( if recommended use from adsl splitter)
Try LAN connection . Then WIFI.
    05
Please see the "Broadband How to " forum
and select thread for WGR614 wireless router.
( settings pages may be similar )
    06:

The DNS you have entered or was default.
156.154.70.1 US UNITED STATES VIRGINIA STERLING NEUSTAR INC
156.154.71.1 US UNITED STATES VIRGINIA STERLING NEUSTAR INC
    07:DNS CHANGE

    Change dns to 208.67.220 220
    and 208.67.222.222

ok , please check these 2 things again
1)DNS servers( as mentioned above ) change the 156.x.x.x to opendns ips
2)FIREWALL RULES - under Inbound services - EDIT action to ALLOW Always instead of BLOCK always

could you post a screenshot of that firewall page again.. from the previous screenshots it shows in your router status that it is CONNECTED.. so till your router its fine.. and your able to access your ROUTER settings from your PC , so pc to router is also fine.. so its something in your router , which is blocking.. in your command prompt type ping 208.67.222.222 and post output
