Thread: How to config my UTstarcom 300ru with D-link DIR300?

Hi Guyz new in this form...

Got a secondhand D-link DIR300 wireless router yesterday, can u guyz guide me how to config my broadband modem with this router....

I am using BSNL 750ul+ connection and i want to use the internet on my mobile through wifi....

Note..

One small problem, yesterday when i turned on the router and when i scanned with my mobile wifi and it showed a network, but it was password protected..
How to remove the password ( but the i dono the password bec its secondhand router)...

What should i do?
Should i flash with new frimware or????

Tell me wat to do guyz...

you cannot connect to any wifi network which shows either in your laptop or Phone without knowing the security code !
Your Dir300 is ok, if it shows your WIFInet work name either secured or unsecured.


Confirm your laptop works in lan mode ( connected to Internet )OR
WIFI mode ( no connection to Internet ) with Dir 300 settings.

did a reset of the the router and everything is back to normal m8....
B4 i was not able to config my router also with 192.168.0.1 ip address...
did a reset and it is fine now....

One shocking news guyz...
Got that router for Just Rs.200....

One strange prob that i observed yesterday is tat, when i entered my ISP username and password, the username remained the same but the password was automatically added extra 2 characters (eg: password to password**)
I found out by counting the characters tat was in dots....
wat should i do M8.....
