Thread: Bsnl broadband freezing problem ..plz help

my bsnl broadband freezes for some sec usually 5-20 sec in 2-3 min experiencing from 2-weeks my connection is nib-2 bsnl 500c plan....my broadband router is Nokia Siemens Networks Residential Router 1600...dont know what the prob is !!!

formatted my pc but still no use
i used adsl2,adsl2+ or
swithed between pppoe and bridge but no use as i play online cs and cant play coz of this freezing!

Your SNR and Attenuation are ok...
Change your mode to ADSL 2+ and try.
Does this only occurs with torrent downloads or also with direct downloads.....

it occurs for everything torrent,browsing,downloading,online gaming and changing to adsl2 doesnt helps

Download Anvir Task manager Free,
and delete/quarantine/ all applications not needed at start up.
Check the memory usage when "Freezing"
takes place.
Use an alternate browser say Opera.
Feedback.

i tried formatting but still problem exist..the prob not with pc!!its with modem or bsnl

though its a preliminary conclusion.... possibly might be a problem with your port in exchange get it refreshed.

Problem modem or BSNL

broadband freezes for some sec....

1.Have you formatted your Hard disk twice ?
2.Give feed back to member's post, instead of repeating old data,
and say
3.tried xxxxxxxxx :no improvement etc.
4.Change dns to 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220
feedback.

Download Norton 360 v4 and scan.........
If problem remains,
Get your line checked by line man by calling them.

1. Call your exchange and tell them to check the port.

2. Reset the modem and reconfigure again.

3. From a friend or relative, get another modem and check at your place. If it is also showing problem, the issue is with the port in exchange.

the problem was with exchange and now been solved ..nd thanks for posting replies
