Default BSNL BB gets disconnected every 05 mins please help

    Hi all,

I am fairly new to computers and have got a new BB connection from BSNL the problem is that is disconnects every few minutes...it wont let me disconnect either from BSNL icon on desktop...only way to get it up and running is to restart machine and re-connect...but again 05 mins later it'll disconnect..the longest it stayed online was 20 mins ONCE at night.

I have a siemens c2110 modem my plan is home750**(256 kbps / unlimited usage).

    PLEASE HELP !!!!

    Many Thanks

Check your splitter. All connections should come after splitter. check the fig

Bypass the splitter and check. Mean connect the line from exchange directly to the modem and try.

Post your SNR and attenuation values. To check, type 192.168.1.1 in your browser, ID and password admin. Browse through the pages.

Connecting modem direct to BSNL Phone junction, is same as as connecting to ADSL splitter Moderm Port.
IT is the Phones ( in any room/ extensions)
that should be connected ONLY after the ADSL splitter. to the PHONE port.

ONE electronic circuit for the phone.
RIGHT goes to BSNL PHONE BOX
    Left goes to ALL phones.
Modem parallel connection DIRECT> ( RIGHT SIDE)

I have a siemens c2110 modem my plan is home750**(256 kbps / unlimited )usage).
    1.Change mod mode to GDMT
    2.Use these DNS 8.8.8.8 and 208.67.220.220.
    3. modem may need Firmware upgrade. ( later ). If on rent exchange at BSNL.

IF you could not access any modem menu pages.
    http://www.indiabroadband.net/tikona...tml#post266337 (Access 192.168.1.1 modem settings.)
    2.
    Copy/Paste the following ipconfig /all data .
    START
    Select RUN
    type cmd
    OK
    New window
    typeipconfig /all
    3.
Confirm your modem is Siemens C2110
    or Nokia Siemens C2110

    Congrats.
If everybody has to format their computer , reload OS ( genuine or "pirated') to get their Broadband working, the person who advised you to do it, should be a "great expert" !!!!
    2.
win32 file missing ? How many were missing ?
Why Run Antivirus after formating the Hard disk /
or did you format only one directory ?
    Para two:
Even to RESET the modem/router to factory settings , I defer it to the last !!!
