Thread: BSNL-Nokia Siemens modem problem

I got my new Nokia Siemens wifi modem from BSNL a month ago.

I think there is some problem with my modem wifi.

Whenever there is a power failure 90% of the time modem fails to get detected by my laptop, while 2-3 more alien networks with my own Airtel modem(from Beetel) show up with goo signal strength except the one from BSNL.

Do you people think that there might be problem with the modem ?

Second problem is that the upstream and downstream speeds change drastically within seconds and every time I restart the modem.
Sometime it shows 320 sometimes 1024 and sometimes 2040. I have no clue of what is happening. See the pic

So much fluctuations in line rates should not be there, your line attenuation is in poor state and in the last image your SNR is also too low, why dont you test with your beetel modem so that your will come to know whether the problem is with modem or not.

After going back from office, I usually do not have any patience left to do the R&D.
I will try it this Sunday.

But what about the wifi problem ??????????
