Default New from BSNL and How ??

    Hi,

Folks on a casual talk in the new thread which mode I discovered that not many here are aware of the new scheme launched by BSNL (when it'll be implemented only BSNL and GOD knows ) ! I didn't want to deviate from the main topic of that thread !

So for the benefit of all the forum members Am here with attaching a paper cutout of the ad where they have some nifty claims and such !

Some of the highlights are :

    1) upto 1000Mbps (yes you read it right its no typo ) Speed

    2) HDTV & 3D TV , much much more (check full details in attached pic)

So when do we actually get to experience all of that ?? and most importantly at what price ???

Anyways BSNL has just opened a Pandora's Box which may lead to many many things in the future of our IT sector in the country !

Lets pray and hope that we don't have to sell our liver's and Kidney's to have this plan and such !!

    The Pics.

So as usual all are request to bombard this thread with your views, opinions and feedbacks !

    Regards.

    Hi,

Where do you live ? In which circle did the ad came ?
Well Am from Bangalore (same as details below my User ID ) !

This was/is a nationwide thing,no circle specific Ad as its clearly says so !! The ad appeared on 13th in "Times Of India" Bangalore !

As you can see the launch was 13th in Jaipur,so I recon in couple of days/months time we should see it in our individual circles (Coz as always BSNL folks themselves will have no clue as to what is being offered ) !

    Regards.

The problem is BSNL cannot offer this speed with their existing network. Most plans advertised in the newspaper comes very late if you are not in metro or class one cities. Recently I tried to get a USO funded plan. In the BSNL office they said they have absolutely no idea about that. Later I came to know that it is due to feasibility issue that they are not allotting plans with higher speed.

Exactly my Point !! Let alone 1000Mbps if they give 1 or 2 Mbps with no FUP crap at some sane price I'll be most delighted !!

If they provide 1 Gbps connection then:
    1. It will be limited to 100 MB.
    2. If unlimited then it will be available in 2015.

    Hi,

Guys its a well known fact and phoanomena that BSNL is screwed up company and what it advertises and what happens are two different things !!

But lets not waste time in taking pot shots and instead focus on whats the impact of this particular scheme ! even if we strangle this forum with flood of posts rediculing the service of BSNL its not going to matter to those A@@$$'$ sitting there !

So I request people having any knowledge of this scheme and its actuall working wareabouts to post here and let Us know of the same !

    Regards.

Hey guys, jokes apart, i too saw this ad in a newspaper, i think its inauguration was somewhere in rajkot(not sure) by the IT minister.

Some time ago, there was a thread running which was about the Highest speed implementable. I mentioned there too that Google was trying for speeds upto Gbps with innovative optical fiber technologies.

One thing for sure, BSNL WON'T be implementing that on copper lines.... it has to be optical fibers... if you see the Ad , you can see optical fiber cables in the picture..... Ya, i agree, very far shot, but they must have plans in mind. Otherwise why advertise it?????

That will be offcourse Optical fibre..............

Are you compairing BSNL with Google???
Google will soon launch 1 Gbps but BSNL will take atleast 7-8 years in India

Google is not going to feed that 1Gbps to 100 crore peoples in india. so they can implement it in no time.
