Is there any problem if i change the portal id given from bsnl, to a new one.
Will this affect my internet usage in anyway?

No. You can change to the one you wish. Make sure that you write it somewhere as you may forget it later.

The portalID given by BSNL cannot be changed.
There is no method available to change it also.
Only way is to surrender the connection, and apply again and insist the ID you want.
But i think now a days they are giving ID
incorportating the Phone number.

You are free to change the Login PW
at data.bsnl.in ( log in with another Portal Usage ID&PW password)

We can. It is the user ID that cannot be changed. Please check this screen shot
