Thread: Few websites don't open after dataone plan change

I have shifted from 750 unlimited to 1400 VAS combo unlimited (or something like that plan).

Things were fine earlier. But after a plan change few sites don't open especially:-

indianrail.gov.in
trainenquiry.com
warez-bb.org

These sites open with a different connection and also on dataone connection at my friend's place with different plan. So i open these sites by proxy(anonymous) browsing.

I have Neatgear DG834GT wireless modem.


When I changed my plan, they said they have to change the line. It also changed my username.

Can somebody suggest me how to open these sites directly?

change your dns settings to 8.8.8.8
8.8.4.4

You can try OpenDNS



Or use Google DNS as posted in the previous post.


If everything fails, try Opera Turbo.

try the above posts.
if nothing happens then complain them

Try Opera Turbo but if you do not like the quality of pages then set proxy in the browser like 127.0.0.1 and port 80.

Try
Start RUN type cmd
OK.

ipconfig /renewdns

Also check the MTU value is 1492 ( In router)

Says successfully flushed DNS cache. And yes, the value is 1492.

Did you tried Opera Turbo ? Is it working ?

those selected sites still don't open. Yet to try Opera Turbo. But do i need to do some extra settings in opera? By default it didnt open in Opera turbo.

In the left hand bottom corner of Opera, there is an option to switch to turbo mode. Try it.

What about your firewall settings ?
Which is the browser you use?
Your AV program ?

Turbo mode worked !!! Great suggestion pals. Atleast something worked.

So I guess firewall/AV are fine. Zonealarm and AVG.

I use Avant/Orca browser (which is on Avant Browser site). Been using it since 5 years. I prefer it over IE, Firefox and Chrome. But I guess I shall be using Opera Turbo more often too.

Isn't there anyway by which these sites will open in the regular default brower?

Glad your issue is solved. Earlier also similar case was reported. Unable to find an explanation. Opera Turbo mode works like a proxy and hence can access these unaccessible pages. You can add a rep if you like.
