    Post Broadband Bill Problem

    I got broadband connection on 26-02-2010, but in the first bill bsnl charged rental from 03-02-2010. To whom i should inform abt this to get a refund or any favourable steps. Pls give email ids of the delegates from bsnl who can be approached for problems regarding Broadband. I'm a user from kerala.

    Call customer care and ask for the account officer's no. He will be the right person to help you. If unheard, you can also complain to Nodal officer or Appellate authority. Address and phone no on the backside of your bill.

    Probably from the work order, issued internally, Accounts have prepared the bill.

    with effective date 03-02.2010.
    Your actual Installation could be on 26-02-2010.

    Telephone rental is for full month ( for a new connection also )
    BB charges will be shown as MISC charges.
    Give the break up. ( with Advance paid earlier)
    One way to confirm :
    Did you get additional 14 digit Usage portal ID and default PW as Password from the Exchange ?
    then go to BSNL Portal and log in.
    Check under POST paid orders.
    There the effective date will be shown for BB
    connection.
    Always try at the lower level.
    Get some response in writing,
    Then online complaint
    Then start the litigation route to
    Consumer court/Supreme Court!

    I too had a similar error in my first bill. Instead of charging for broken period, I was charged full Rs. 250. A chat with accounts officer cleared the issue.
