Adsl link is not getting connection

hello all....new member over here...
i got bsnl at home from last 3 year...all of sudden the modem (huawei) has broke down...the adsl link is not getting connection.....i got a spare netgear modem/router...to cross check i replaced it and getting connection link....
but is it possible to configure net gear modem for interent connection or the one provided by bsnl only works...?? pls reply me asap...thanks

Ensure VPI VCI 0 and 35 is selected.

can you access modem settings ?
Did you try reset ?
Broke down ?
Post ADSL data .
