Default A Trick Which will Help you To Download Torrents and Surf Net at the same Time!!!

Here is a small trick for those who are using BSNL 750 UL which gives a speed of 30 KBps...

You must have seen that surfing while downloading torrents doesnt work in BSNL 750 UL...

so i managed to find a way in which u can download movies from torrents as well as surf net without any slow page loading

The trick is that just set your Download Limit to 15 KBps and Upload Limit to 1 Kbps....

u can try this out u will be able to surf while u download....but the bad side of it is the maximum speed will be 15 KBps...but ofcourse its better that Not downloading anything while surfing...

i usually do a lot of surfing...and till not i manage to download 1 movie in ever 2 days...without even keeping my lappy seperately for downloading

I do the same. If we set anything above 15 KBps there will be effect on loading pages.

I'm on UL750 too. I would suggest 10 KBps limit, instead of 15 when you think you're gonna surf heavy websites.

And I believe in either downloading or surfing!
I leave my torrents through the night..and daytimes when I'm not home or doing nothing.

By the way, this isn't a 'trick', it's an idea! :P

This is a VERY bad suggestion. So you believe only in taking and not giving? Don't forget that the sources that you are downloading from are not obliged to do so. If everyone starts doing this, torrents will die out.

Furthermore, throttling your upload will also mean that your downloads will be affected as peers would be snubbed.

I'm on 512 kbps unlimited, and I set my upload to about 43 - 44 kBps when I'm surfing. It does making surfing slightly slower, but that can't be helped.

1kB ul? and too on a torrent that's the reason i find BSNL forum flooded with torrent speed problems so everyone wants full DL speed but they dont want to UL at same speed this is indeed a very bad practice i set my UL speed to max as possible currently 1.3mbps and in return i get 1.4mbps DL rate.

    That's true.

If you limit the upload speed, your download speed will also be affected. It may sometimes not be very noticeable on slow plans like 256 kbps but still you will be affected.

To download via torrents and have decent surfing capability at the same time, limit the download speed to 75% of you plan speed. Limit the upload speed to 1/4th of the download speed. If you use uTorrent, it will do that for you automatically when you run speedtest and configuration.

When im downloading torrents and browsing simultaneously i limit my DL speed to 42KB/s and UL speed to 45KB/s. Works fine for me.
Btw im on512kbps(750UL) BSNL plan and this is no "trick' but commonsense to leave around 20 KB/s for browsing.
