    WELCOME to IBF!

    I too use this modem.
First try open DNS.USe the following DNS servers:

    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220

if not working then look for a hole on the right bottom of modem.take a pen \and press in the hole.it will reset the modem and then try to open 192.168.1.1.

First of all thank u all for replying. I tried all the given instructions. Turned off & reconnected the wires, cheked the IP address, checked the DNS server but nothing worked. I also tried to find the reset button/hole but could not find it. is there any other way to configure the router/modem for wifi access?

Reset will the next best option. Try to find a small hole in the bottom or backside. Use a refill, press and hold for 30 seconds.
