No, it is not necessary to upload what ever he download but if he maintains the ratio then the torrent not slows down and not dies. Just think I want to download the movie "Aap ka suroor" but it is not available on any torrent site. If someone seeds he is reputed on that site, so seed if you have unlimited internet.

I am too seeding a torrent named "Na Tum Janno Na Hum" a hindi movie because it took me 3 days to download with only 15-20 KB/s of speed with 1 seeder and 4 peers. I am helping that seeder who is seeding this movie from last 2 years continusly. Just think if he stops then that torrent will also die.................

Good manners is to seed as much as you downloaded. Go to any good torrent site and download the torrent. Download it and after download is completed, leave it for seeding.

You are talking about private tracker not Public.

If someone download a torrent from Public tracker, it is not required to maintain share ratio.

What is private and public trackers, how can one distinguish b/w them.? Pls inform

In private trackers, you need to give back at least the same or more amount of data you have downloaded. You need to maintain a ratio of 1 or above. But in case of public trackers you can discontinue after downloading the file. Private trackers hence has more seeds and give higher speed when compared to public trackers.

In Private tracker you first have to signup and then download and in Public, no signups,

It is not easy to get a private tracker account. Normally they are invitation based. They open for registration once or twice an year.

in exdesi n ictorrents u can sign up for free n u wil get good speed too....
u cant hit n run if its a public tracker, remember this some1 is uploading for u to download ur file... so its better to upload the same amount tat u hav downloaded...

i have demonoid account... u dont need to check tat web... keep on looking demonoid website in the evening... sometimes the will be open for registration for free... i got my acc like tat way...

LAPACHE.INFO (rare gem, not many people know) this is a bulgarian site but its hindi section is more than enough to shame any bollywood torrent site, must check it out

DCTORRENT.COM (invitation needed) good for movies

ICTORRENT.COM - for some pre releases

DESITORRENTS.COM

ENGLISH - i agree with arpit60 above except he forgot to add IPTORRENTS.COM which is a real allrounder and have superb speeds, i get 10-14MBPS speeds from torrents there.

Another tip for those who can't arrange for invitations or use premium sites, install a greasemonkey script known as pirated imdb, then if you go to imdb.com and search for movies you'll get all torrent links then and there from open networks.

Thepiratebay is the best and it is in top 100 sites of the world.It is actually at 99th rank. You can find almost all torrents there but the maximum count to torrents are in alivetorrents but that is not good site.

demonoid registration are open... grab it quickly..

for me IPTorrents.com :: Where Speed Speaks is the best.. i get 120kB/s on it.. my plan 1350 UL.

btjunkie - the largest bittorrent search engine is my most preferred public tracker and private ones are bwtorrents.com and exdesi.com but recently having some problem with uploading in bwtorrents.com whenever I download a movie and then keep it for upload, its not uploading so this is affecting my ratio as download speed is very high it gets downloaded quickly but seems there might be super seeders so my upload is really not required, inspite of keeping it idle it rarely uploades at some speed, this affects my ratio and its not maintained properly.

Use Best Torrent meta search engine. Daddy of all torrent search engines.
