Thread: BSNL Night usage reboot constraint removed?

I've seen for the first time on bsnl portal that the night usage start time 2AM is being accounted for automatically. You can see in the image that i did reboot the modem at 2:06 AM, but the usage shows as 0 from 2AM to 2:06AM. Is everyone consistently experiencing this?

I have always seen the 8AM limit being automatically accounted as 0 most of the time.

Pls report your experience, guys....

For the newcomers, please don't be misunderstood, this is just a query im raising for the regular users. Don't ever think that this is totally trustworthy and forget to reboot the modem. I will still not stop rebooting the modem myself, until this experience is very regular in the usage portal and is reported by everyone.

BSNL once tried to change and accommodate this feature without success. I think they are trying again. Good news. But don't rely on it. May be just testing.

BSNL CC informed me , that they do not want to interrupt any download in progress.
In this case modem seems to be in idle mode and perhaps the change over was done.
That is why I suggest testing d/l in the morning. with overlap periods.

Sorry to report guys, in the same situation today, it got charged till 2:06AM, i.e., till i rebooted the modem, even though it was in idle mode.



Turned out i was just too optimistic to even question whether rebooting was being eliminated.
