    Smile Bsnl new limited and unlimited plans updated.

    Hi,

    So after reading the threads on new unlimited plans, i just opened the BSNL tariff page and found a whole bunch of limited combo, unlimited combo plans and standalone unlimited updated in their website. (here's the link Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. )

    So, finally there are a LOT of choices for different requirements of customers which is very wise from BSNL and they it shows they are keeping on their toes.

    But the tariff, compared to MTNL as said in other posts, it seems a bit on higher side. Anyways, these variety of options give so much choice to the customer. Expect the tariff for these plans to drop sometime in near future???

    We are all waiting for BSNL tariffs to be reduced, BSNL has 75% Internet market share in India, So that's very large, If BSNL introduce just two plans 1Mbps Unlimited@ Rs.499 and 2Mbps Unlimited for Rs.999 without any Fair Usage Policy per month, think of amount of households getting such speeds Wow, India's Internet average speed Infrastructure would be gradually increased than the present speeds, India would be step forward in moving towards making a broadband revolution in India, so atleast everyone can say that India is enjoying Mbps speeds Now and not stuck in Kbps speeds like those old days, BSNL should reduce their tariffs ASAP, it's already high time.

    BSNL Loss this year about Rs 3700 crores !!! That is Rs 10 crores approx EVEYDAY !
    ( as it is a semi Govt Organisation, this means Expenditure exceeded Income by this amount.) After two or three years "ICU" case like AIR INDIA !
    ICU = Intensive Care Unit
    will need infusion of funds from Taxpayers
    or other Private companies/ change of ownership/ strike by employees etc.
    May survive or close down !!!

    It is also possible that Airtel is giving money to some BSNL upper managements. Maybe Airtel is going to inherit whole BSNL. That is just my imagination. If Airtel inherits BSNL, then it would be a Rock.

    Despite of having 75% share of whole internet user, BSNL still loosing the game. bunch of extra fat, worthless,idle govt employees are there. trim them off. Slim BSNL otherwise it would be going to ruined us. as Intel is pressurized by AMD to keep their price at right. If BSNL is not there, these foreign multinational will eat up us. Foreigner follow one rule for their nation and other rule for third world country.

    Smile So Sad!!!!

    Guys, it is so sad to hear that BSNL ran into loss this year. Its so unfortunate, because being indians, we should support something that is run by the government. Think, atleast our money stays in our country if we pay BSNL, unlike paying these foreign multinationals that are sucking money out of our country.

    I do agree that BSNL can work MUCH MORE efficiently but overall, it is doing WELL, as far as giving an average middle-class family a broadband connection. But yes, in order to generate profit, more is required.

    Essbebe, do you remember that we were discussing that BSNL should bring out variety of plans? See, BSNL does have an eye for customer's requirements. But the service needs to improve: i had to wait more than one month to get my connection and had to roam to their CC centre many times. Guess they can improve on the customer-friendliness part of their service. But after getting the connection, i must say i'm quite satisfied with their service: my DSL line broke down few times, they just rectified it the next day itself.

    boy you seem like you would suffer at any extent to save bsnl's A$$.....for me its service that matters not by whom it is run.....if private players give me a better service then i would go for it....and you talk about new bsnl plans?...are they better then other providers?.....those lazy fat good for nothing bsnl employees will wake up and get some lashes on their a$$e#* when bsnl gets privatized.
